Some Effective Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Dandruff And Prevent Hair Fall

Dandruff and hair fall are some of the very common problems. More or less, almost all of us suffer from any one of these two problems. We face these common but annoying problems for various reasons such as the use of extra hair cosmetic items, dry scalp, excess oiliness, external pollution, and unhealthy living conditions. These two problems are severe, especially during the winter season. But if there is a problem, there is also a solution and preventive measures for it. By taking proper care it is possible to prevent dandruff and hair fall.

Here are the home remedies that I hope will benefit you according to your needs. This must also be mentioned that, many of us suffer from various types of allergies. As such before following any of the home remedies and procedure beware that you do not have any allergic reactions to any of the ingredients used. Another important thing is that, rather than following multiple methods together, it is better to follow any one of them. To achieve better results, you should stick to any one of the methods patiently.

Neem Leaf

Neem leaves contain antifungal and antibacterial properties which not only protects the hair from  dandruff, but also protect it against other problems such as scalp irritations, fungal infections, excess hair fall and etc.

Take a bunch of neem leaves in four cups of water and boil it. When the water starts to boil take away the water and let it cool. Then strain the mixture. Pour this mixture of neem water on the head a few minutes before shampooing and follow this procedure two to three times a week. If this procedure does not feel suitable to you, then opt for applying the paste of neem leaves on your head directly. In this case you must wash it off after an hour.

Coconut oil

Anti-fungal ingredients in coconut oil are able to fight the dandruff in an effective way. At the same time, it also helps in reducing the dryness by moisturizing the hair. Take a little oil in a bowl and mix half of a lemon juice. Now you have to massage the oil well for few minutes. Wait for half an hour and then wash the hair. This procedure must be followed for two to three times a week.

Another way is to take two table spoons of vinegar and then combine with it equal amount of water and 15-20 drops of tree oil.  Apply this mixture on your hair and wait few minutes before shampooing your hair. Follow this natural remedy for two to three times a week.

White vinegar

White vinegar is a very useful ingredient for preventing dandruff. Mix half cup of white vinegar in two cups of normal water and pour it all over your hair as the final rinse just after shampooing. Or, if you want then you can mix three-thirds of water with two parts of white vinegar and one part of olive oil and then massage this mixture on your head for ten minutes. Then wash it off by using a mild shampoo. It’s enough to follow this procedure once or twice a week.

 

Olive oil

Take a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and heat it. Now massage the oil in your hair for few minutes and then finally wrap your head with a hot towel and wait for 20 minutes. For the hot towel, soak a towel in hot water and twist the towel to get any excess water out, and then wrap it around your head. Shampoo your hair after waiting for 20 minutes. This procedure reduces hair loss by eliminating dandruff and by moisturizing hair. This method can be followed several times a week.

Tea-tree oil

This oil is enriched with anti-fungal property which is very effective in reducing dandruff. While bathing take a few drops of oil and massage it into your hair regularly and then wash it off with a good shampoo. You can also mix coconut oil or olive oil with it and apply it all over your hair. If it’s possible then keep the oil on your hair the entire night or wash it after half an hour before bathing. Do this twice a week.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is another effective ingredient to remove dandruff. The acid contained in it helps to fight the dandruff fungus and also reduce the inflammation of the scalp. As a result, hair fall decreases significantly. Take a quarter cup plain yogurt and mix half lemon juice with it and apply the mixture on your hair. Keep it for twenty minutes and shampoo to wash it off. This method not only decreases the dandruff and hair fall but also makes the hair shinier and smoother.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek contains anti-fungal and soothing properties which significantly reduce the dandruff. Mix two or three tablespoons of fenugreek with water and let it stay soaked overnight. Mix it with it a few spoons of plain yogurt in the morning and apply it all over your hair. Keep it on for an hour and then wash it off with shampoo. If you want you can only apply the fenugreek paste. Do this twice a week.

Each of the ways mentioned above are natural home remedies. So these procedures will take a little while to work its winder for your hair. By following any one of the above procedures patiently you can solve your dandruff and hair fall problem. Apart from this, try to stay neat and clean and drink plenty of water.  Also try to use less hair styling products as using these products frequently may cause hair damage.
